The Housing Authority of the City of Shreveport’s (HACS) Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution Number 3680-18 on February 27, 2018 approving the Implementation of HACS’s Smoke Free Policy effective June 1, 2018. It is a requirement of the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for all Public Housing Authorities (PHA) to implement a policy that prohibits the use of all lit tobacco products inside all dwelling units, indoor common areas, and PHA Administrative Office Buildings. The Smoke-Free Policy extends up to 25 feet from all housing and Administrative Buildings.

SEXUAL HARASSMENT

Sexual harassment is the unwelcome sexual advances, request(s) for sexual favors, or verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature when (1) submission to such conduct is made either explicitly or implicitly a term or condition which may include but is not limited to employment, promotion, annual/merit increase, or (2) submission to or rejection of such conduct is used as the basis for employment decisions, or (3) such conduct has the purpose or effect of unreasonable interfering with work performance or creating an intimidating, hostile or offensive working environment.
